Case history

Francine Latreille underwent a laparoscopic right hemicolectomy.

The day shift has just started. In the interservice report, the nurse mentions to you that Ms. Latreille received a coanalgesic twice during the night and, at 7:30 AM, a 50-mg dose of Dimenhydrinate by IV.

The vital signs are stable. It is 9:15 AM. The orderly tells you that the patient rang the call button, said she is in pain and asked for her analgesic.
